Obituary of Donna Diane Hiltz

Hiltz, Donna Diane – Age 60 of West Brooklyn and formerly of Avonport, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2014. Born at Payzant Memorial Hospital in Windsor on August 8, 1953, she was the daughter of Marion Miles Sawler and the late Leslie Frank Miles. Donna worked at Keyes Fiber in Hantsport, Stirlings Fruit Farm in Greenwich, the White Spot Motel in New Minas, Hennigars Cook House in Greenwich and 28 years with Canada Post, delivering the mail in the Avonport area. She also had a love for playing bingo. She is survived by her husband Jeff; daughters, Sandra Braham (James), Bishopville; Georgina Hiltz, Waterville and Sherri Kane (Dana), Waterville; grandson Oron Hiltz-Kane; mother Marion Sawler, Kentville; sister, Rosella Gillis (Angus), Kentville; brother, David Miles, Avonport; nephews Michael, Edison and John; also by 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew. She will be missed by her little dog Panda. Donna is predeceased by her mother and father in law, Wilbert and Ethel Hiltz, sister in law Cindy Miles. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Wolfville Chapel on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, from where the memorial service will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2pm with Rev. Barb Cochrane and Rev. Burt Walsh officiating. A reception will follow at the West Brooklyn Community Centre, all are welcome. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the NS Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation - Kings County Branch, Kings Rehabilitation Centre and the Carey Me Fund.
