Hanifan, Edna Marguerite 80, of Windermere, passed away Friday May 16, 2014 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windermere, she was the daughter of the late Spurgeon and Ada (Nelms) Jones. Edna is survived by daughter, Marie (Michael) Arsenault, Kentville; sons, Gerald Jr. (Janet) Hiltz, Berwick, David, Halls Harbour; long time companion, Frank Connors, Windermere; brother, Reginald (Isabel) Jones, Bridgewater; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Besides her parents, Edna was predeceased by her sisters, Rita, Olive, Floria, Dorothy, Audrey; brothers, Edward, Arnold, Roy, Allan and one brother in infancy. Cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service for family and close friends, Saturday May 24th at 2 p.m. in Berwick Cemetery. Chris Plant officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel (902-538-9900).Donations in memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
