Wentzell, Ivan Bradford - age 72 years of Waterville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Valley Regional Hospital on April 16, 2014. Born in Berwick on January 1, 1942; he was the son of the late Morris and Ada (Smith) Wentzell.
Ivan had retired from the Waterville Fire Department with 35 years service and worked at Scotia Gold then the Waterville Rehabilitation Centre for 27 years until his retirement. Ivan was a deacon of the Waterville Baptist Church, and owner of Wentzell's Service Station in Waterville for 18 years.
Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Diane (VanTassell); son Kelly (Heather) Wentzell of Waterville; daughter Shelly Trueman (Chris Goucher) of Kingston; brother Gary (Bonnie) Wentzell; grandchildren Nicole Wentzell (Ryan Pearl), Makencee Trueman, Kellcee and Jakkob Wentzell.
Vistiation will be from 7-9pm on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel; from where the funeral service will take place at 11am on Saturday, April 19, 2014 with Stuart Johnstone officiating. Interment to follow in the Waterville Baptist Cemetery.
Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
