Lewis, Cecil Francis age 80 years of Kingston, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2014 at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton.
Born in New Waterford; he was the son of the late Cecil and Lillie (MacKay) Lewis. Cecil spent 32 years in the R.C.A.F.; he also worked at the Aurora Inn and drove the handicapped taxi in the valley. Cecil was a sports enthusiast, loved hockey, bowling, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed singing in the Valley Mens Gospel Choir. Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife of 59 years Marie Fay (Massicotte); son Roy Lewis (Judy) of Kelsey, Alberta; daughters Deborah Fenske (Wendell) of Leduc, Alberta and Roxanne Piper (Frank) of Morinville, Alberta; brother P. Campbell (Rose) of New Waterford; grandchildren Scott and Jeffery Fenske, Cody Lewis, Ashley Tiernan, McKenzie and Shaye Piper; great-grandchildren Shylah and John Tiernan, also by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Walton Lewis; sister Betty Rudderham; grandchildren James and Jody Lewis. In keeping with Cecils wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 1pm from the St. Marks Church in Greenwood with Rev. Bruce Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Cecil may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.serenitylindsayfuneralhome.ca.
