Obituary of William Keddy

William Edward Keddy, age 87, of Berwick passed away February 17,
2014, at Grand View Manor in Berwick. Born November 14, 1926 in
Berwick, he was the son of the late Harlan Fulton Keddy and Mary
Catherine (Brokenshire) Keddy. He graduated from Horton Academy and
started out working in the used furniture business. He owned and
operated the South Berwick General Store until his retirement. He was
an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time in the woods hunting and
fishing. He had a passion for cars and guns and was a member of the
Annapolis Valley Sport Club and the Greenwood Gun Club. He was a
skilled marksman for which he won many awards. He had a great fondness
for dogs and cats and sheltered many at his home. He enjoyed playing
forty-fives and crib and was a member of the Morristown Seniors' Club.
He was a member of the Anglican United Church in Berwick. He was
predeceased by his wife Marguerite (Palmer) Keddy and one brother in
infancy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, but
is survived by cousins. He will be sadly missed by his long time
friend Helen Wilson and her family. The funeral service will be held
at 2 pm on Saturday, February 22 at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home,
192 Commercial St., Berwick with Rev. Chad Clements officiating.
Interment immediately following the service in Morristown Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Morristown Baptist Church.
