Obituary of Della Dorothy Harvie

Harvie, Della Dorothy – age 49 years of St. Croix, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Hants Community Hospital in Windsor. Born in Canso on September 17, 1964; she was the daughter of Inez (Newell) Dykens and the late Kenneth Dykens. She was last employed at the Blomidon Shannex up until November, and previously worked at the Dykeland Lodge and Windsor Elms. Della loved spending time working outdoors in her flower garden, going to movies and outings with her work friends. She also cherished the time spent with her dog babies Oliver and Ashley. Left with many happy and loving memories are her husband Christopher; mother Inez Dykens of Canso; and brother Coleman “Pat” Dykens (Sylvia) of Sydney also by all her friends she worked with at the Blomidon Shannex. Special Thanks to all the staff at the Hants Community Hospital. In keeping with Della’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Della may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
