Lohnes, Carolyn Deanna – age 68, of Berwick, passed away peacefully at Valley Regional Hospital on December 9, 2013. Born in Morristown on July 20, 1945; she was the daughter of the late Medford and Marion (Lacey) Lutz. Carolyn had a love for camping, singing and playing guitar. She enjoyed snowmobiling and the great outdoors. She especially loved to play cards and winning against Bill. Left with fond and loving memories of Carolyn are Bill Carey, her partner of 31 years; sons, Kenny Lohnes (Marlene) of Lawrencetown and Kevin Lohnes of Berwick; daughters Lorraine Carey (Rick Randell) of North Alton and Denice Noseworthy (Andrew) of Ontario. Also survived by brothers Dennis Lutz (Muriel) and Russell Lutz (Helena) of Morristown; sisters Diane Davis (Eugene) of Morristown, Noreen Chute (Roy) of Tremont and Phyllis Neiriup (Peter) of Wilmot; grandchildren Breanna, Darian, and Ryan Jess, Shannon Watton, Michael Crossman, Taryn Smith, Melissa McCulley and Liam Dominey. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents Medford and Marion, son Gordie Lohnes, brothers Gary Lutz and Medford Lutz. Keeping with Carolyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 14, 2013 at 11AM from the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel (192 Commercial Street) with Rev Don Rafuse officiating. Donations in memory of Carolyn may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) or the charity of one’s choice.
