Obituary of Gezina Maria Elizabeth Enserink

ENSERINK, Gezina (Ina) Maria Elizabeth (Deurwaarder) – age 85 of Aylesford, NS, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Grand View Manor, Berwick, NS on December 7, 2013. Born in Axel, Netherlands on November 5 1928, she was the oldest daughter of the late Jacob and Neeltje Deurwaarder. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lambertus Enserink. Ina and Lambert immigrated to Canada, arriving at Pier 21 in 1953, first living on Prince Edward Island before moving to the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia in 1958 and settling in Aylesford. She is survived by two daughters, Nell McMaster of Kingston and Hilma Enserink of Cambridge, two sons, Martin Enserink of Loon Lake and Jack (Donna) Enserink of Cambridge. Grandchildren, Heather (Troy) Johnson, Christine McMaster (Troy Burke), Gillian (Greg) Bavis, Robert McMaster, Fiona (Tim) Ogden, Ryan Enserink, Benjamin Enserink, Katrina Enserink, Jody Enserink, Catherine (Patrick) Ruelens, Jennifer (Kevin) Dares, Jacqueline (John) Robbins, Elizabeth Enserink, Kimberley Enserink, Jonathan Enserink, Caroline Enserink, Victoria Enserink. Great grandchildren Cameron Johnson, Isaac Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Nolan Ogden, Logan Ogden, Allyson Bavis, Matthew Bavis, Paige Burke. Brothers Jan, Johan, Bram, Kees, Piet, all of the Netherlands and Wim of Ontario as well as sister Rie of the Netherlands. She was predeceased by a sister Helena and brother Jaap, as well as a great granddaughter, Carina Marie Elizabeth Johnson. Visitation will be Wednesday December 11, 2013 from 2-4 pm. Memorial service will be held December 12, 2013 at 1pm at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick, NS. with Rev. Mike Veenema officiating. Family burial following reception.
