Dykens, Amelia Anna – age 97 years of Dykeland Lodge in Windsor, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2013 with family by her side. Born in Windsor on February 24, 1916; she was the daughter of the late Dexter and Clara (Pinkney) Dearman. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Lester (Lynda) and James “Frankie” (Joan); daughter Audrey Fielding (Earl “Bub”); chosen daughter Maria McCarthy (James); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Frances Eisenhauer, Laura Williams, Claribel Mason (George) and brother Reid (Ethel) Dearman. Predeceased by her husband of 61 years Lester M. in 1999; sons Blaine and baby boy in infancy; brother Owen Dearman; sisters Edith Lantz and Lillian Rhodes. In keeping with Amelia’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2pm from St. Thomas Anglican Church in Three Mile Plains with Fr. Tom Henderson and grandson Rev. Darrel Dykens officiating. Interment to take place in Maplewood Cemetery. Special thanks to all the staff at Dykeland Lodge, Dr. Mark Kazmirski and Dr. Jim Leahy for their loving care. Donations in memory of Amelia may be made to the Dykeland Lodge or the St. Thomas Anglican Church.
