Jenkins, Clara Emily, 93 of Halifax passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the V.G. Site, QE11, Palliative Care Unit, Halifax. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Fedwick & Jennie (Veinot) Wilson. She is survived by daughters, Patricia Murphy, Trenton, and Barbara Cranston, Massachusetts. She??ll be sadly missed by her grandchildren, niece, Gloria and also her close best friend, Hattie MacKenzie. Clara was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence Marriott; second husband, George W. Jenkins; daughter, Janet Carrothers; her very best and devoted friend, Betty Holmes. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. A private service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Clara may be made to the V.G. Site, QE11, Palliative Care Unit. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit.
