Coll, Susan Frances, 92,Coldbrook, Kings Co. passed away peacefully at home on November 7th 2008. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Archibald S. & Edith (Mills) MacDonald.Sue graduated from Sydney Academy in 1932 at the age of 16. During the Second World War, she worked in the general office for Sydney Steel and later was the catalogue sales manager for Eatons in Sydney and then in Dartmouth.Sue was a member and elder of Sydney River United Protestant Church. She enjoyed traveling, golf & bridge with her friends.She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Wayne) MacDonald, Coldbrook (with whom she lived ); son, Ron (Karen) Coll, Unionville, Ont.; grandchildren: Mark (Mi-heon) MacDonald, Dartmouth; Jan (Robert) Houseman, Elmsdale; Keri (Trevor) Best, Porters Lake, Graham & Andrew Coll ,both of Ontario; as well as six great - grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Irwin; brothers: Maxwell, George & Frank; step-mother Jeanne, MacDonald ( Howatson). No visitation by family request. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00p.m. Tuesday from the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, (Exit 14), Coldbrook. Rev. Randy Crozsman officiating. Interment will be in Albert Smith Memorial Cemetery, Sydney River at a later date. Donations in memory of Sue may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Atlantic Division or to the charity of one??s choice.
