Allen, Daniel, 76 of Berwick, Kings Co. passed away Tuesday, September 2nd , 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in London, England August 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Daniel and Daisy (Dance) Allen. He came to Canada in 1956 where he worked as a machinist for many years in Toronto. Daniel moved to Nova Scotia in 1979 where he worked for ABS Poultry till a back injury retired him in 1986. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Arenburg); daughter, Elizabeth "Lisa" & David Keddy, Blue Mountain; son, Daniel Allen, Collingwood, Ont.; grandchildren, Daniel J. Allen, B.C.; Joshua & Brandon Keddy, Blue Mountain; sisters: Joyce (Don) Franklin, Seattle Wash.; Doreen Dano & Betty Allen both of England; brother, Kenneth, England; mother-in-law, Kathleen Arenburg, Berwick; many brother & sister-in-laws; nieces & nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Bustin & Bernice; Dr. Mac Innis & the staff of Valley Regional for their care & concern. A special thanks to Jim, Barb, Wendy & Ron. A grave side service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5th in the Berwick Cemetery, Berwick. Rev. Tim Bigelow officiating. No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Daniel maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook.
