Hack, Siegfried W., 93 of Cambridge, Kings Co. formerly of Killaly, Saskatchewan ,beloved husband of the late Margaretha (nee Hollinger) was called to his heavenly home by his beloved Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 21, 2008 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Siegfried the youngest child of Leonard & Elizabeth Hack was born south of the Qu??Appelle Valley, Nov. 27, 1914. At the age of two his family moved to the homestead at Killaly. He received his grade nine education at the Killaly school and then decided he wanted to farm full time with his parents. On Nov. 12, 1939 he married Margaretha and they took over the family farm when his parents moved to B.C. in 1940. Siegfried loved to farm and was active on the family farm till the age of 83.Siegfried loved the Lord and was baptized and become a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, July 1, 1946. He was active and served many positions in the church. He also was instrumental in the building of the Melville SDA church and also the auditorium at Camp Whitesand. Siegfried loved to travel, he and Margaretha traveled to many European countries, Hawaii, Phillippines and spent 18 winters in Florida until Margaretha??s passing in 1997.He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Scheidt; grandchildren, Trevor, Heather and Garner, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaretha, (1997) son, Daniel (1960), his parents, brothers; John, Robert, Christian and Arnold. Visitation for Siegfried will be held from 1:30 p.m. prior to the service being held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (Exit 14) Coldbrook. Pastor Bob Lehmann and Pastor Roy Uffindell officiating. The eulogy address will be given by his granddaughter, Heather Scheidt of Saskatchewan. Interment will take place at a later date in Melville, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Siegfried may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the ADRA.
