Ward, Arthur Bernard Colin., of Waterville. Kings Co. It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of their husband, father and grandfather at the Valley Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. Born in North Alton, Kings County he was a son of the late Colin and Nola (Ward) Ward. Other than a ten year period in Ontario, Arthur spent most of his life farming here in Nova Scotia. He loved gardening, fishing, wrestling and his dogs Pepper and Buddy. He was also an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was a kind, gentle loving husband, father and grandfather, with a fun loving spirit that he shared with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine (Rafuse), daughters: Joyce (Charles) MacDonald, Berwick, Dawne "Liz", Waterville, Kathryn (Brian) Munroe, Kentville, Krista (Brian), Waterville, son: Jeoffery (Robin), Mississauga, Ont., 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister: Veulah (Vernon) Bruce, Nictaux Falls, brothers: Aubrey and Harrison both of New Minas, Jimmy (Mary) Bridgetown, Leo ( Marjorie) Canning and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter Verna, great grandson Luke, sisters: Hazel Jones, Leora Little, Nita Banks, Edna Mappleback and Beatrice Bond, brothers: Eldridge and Roland. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, (Exit 14) Coldbrook. A graveside service will be held Thursday 2:00 p.m. at the Berwick Cemetery, Berwick. Rev. Bill Hogeboom will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice. On line condolences may be sent to, www.annapolisvalleyfunealhome.com.
