Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
HADLEY, Scott Theodore - August 11, 1950-November 1, 2006. As angels gathered today, my heart and my soul's inspiration entered eternal peace November 1, 2006, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII. Scott endured a long and courageous battle surrounded by the everlasting love of his family. Scott is now in the open arms and loving hearts of his parents, the late John and Mable (Parks) Hadley, and his in-laws, J. Albert and Maizie Walker. He was the greatest love of all and will forever be in the hearts of his loving wife of 35 years, Lucy (Walker), and his wonderful and devoted children, John-Michael, David and Sally, of whom he was so very proud. The brightest lights of his life were his handsome grandsons, Scott and Liam; Pop will hold them in his heart eternally. Scott started his funeral career at the age of 17 with J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, continuing until his retirement in 2005 due to illness. He played a major role in the construction of the J. Albert Walker Golden Age Centre and was on the Board of Directors. He was a proud recipient of the American Legion Award and a life member of the A.N.A.F. Veterans Association. He was the "King of Hearts" to those who knew and loved him. A wonderful husband, the greatest father and the best "Pop" this world has ever known. Scott was a well-respected businessman and a great asset to the community he called home, Spryfield. Visitation will be held in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd., Dartmouth, today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and in Calvin Presbyterian Church, 3311 Ashburn Ave., on Friday, November 3, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4, in Calvin Presbyterian Church. Burial to follow in William Black Cemetery, Glen Margaret. Donations may be made to the "Wish List" at the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, the best place to be at the worst time of your life. The doctors, nurses and staff are wonderful, and my family and I thank them endlessly.
