Carrothers, Janet L. - 61, of Halifax, passed away April 17, 2006 at home. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Marriott and Clara (Wilson) Jenkins of Halifax. Janet was a great friend and companion to all those who resided at MacDonald Laurier Place Apartments. Loving and best friend of, Christine. Besides her mother, Clara, she is survived by sons: Joseph (Bonnie) and Terrance; daughter, Christine, all from Windsor, Ont.; sisters: Patricia Murphy, Halifax and Barbara Cranston, Gloucester, Mass. USA; 5 grandchildren: Robert, Cody, Allan, Lauren and Cassandra. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook. N.S. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's memory maybe made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation. Email condolences maybe made at director@annapolisvalleyfuneralhome.com
