Boutilier, Charles Francis, 90 of Middleton, Anna. Co., passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 in the DVA Unit of the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Evansville, Pictou Co. he was the son of the late Henry and Ellen (Foley) Boutilier. Charles served in the Second World War as a denturist. After the war he was a jeweler, bowling alley manager, carpenter, retiring as a denturist from the Middleton area. He helped secure the denturist act which allowed denturists to practice independently in Nova Scotia. He was a member & past president of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 1, Middleton; a member & past Master of Ionic Masonic Lodge # 73, Middleton; he was the GSR of the Middleton AA and founding member of the Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church. Charles was very fond of pitching horseshoes. He is survived by his wife, the former Thelma Mosher; sons, Robert (Linda), Middleton; Roger (Joan), Wolfville; grandchildren, Rebekah, Edmonton, AB; Aaron, New Minas; Joy (Marc) Dionne, Quispamsis, NB; Grace, Vancouver, B.C. Charles was predeceased by brothers, George, Jack, Seymour and Michael. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton. Rev. Bill MacDougall officiating. Reception to follow the service in the church hall. Cremation will take place & interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton at a later date.A Masonic Lodge service will be held at 6:30pm followed by visitation from 7-8:30 pm both on Tuesday evening in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. Coldbrook (Exit 14).Family flowers only.
