Sanford, Evelyn Viola, 93, of Auburn, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Aylesford, she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon Joshua and Rachel Lucretia (Brennan) Lutz. She was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church and was an avid attendee of yard sales. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Joyce Louise (Warren) Richardson, Kingston; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Starrett Earle Sanford; son, Ralph Earl; daughter, Ruth Chisholm; grandson, Cole Isnor; brothers: Walter, Paul, Ivan, Murray and Lyn; sisters: Dorothy and Elsie. Arrangements have been entrusted to Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4 p.m. Friday in the Aylesford Baptist Church and from where funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Clyde Lowe assisted by Rev. Ron Rafuse officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Aylesford . A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Aylesford Baptist Church.
