Bouchard, Gertrude Doreen, 75 of Greenwood, Kings County. It is with great sadness that the family of Gertie Bouchard announces her passing on Wednesday, March 11th, 2009, at home surrounded by the love of her life, her sons and daughters-in-law. She was born in 1933 in Sunnyside, Newfoundland to the late Henry and Mabel (Gilbert) Luther. She was the beloved wife of Earl for 55 years, devoted and loving mother to Derrick (Fioretta), Lyall (Heather) and Dean (Laura) and proud grandmother to Gabrielle, Jessica, Mallory, Craig, Jason, Alicia, Harrison, Spencer, Adam, Jonathan, and Hannah. Gertie is survived by her sisters, Shirley (Woodrow) Porter, and Selma (Bob) Davis. She was predeceased by her brother, Charlie (Kay). Family and friends meant everything to her, and she let us know that each day through her actions, her kindness and her generosity. Her tireless spirit, and unconditional love and support, have been the strength and foundation of our family. We will always miss her, and cherish our precious memories of her. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15th in the Kingston United Church, Kingston. Rev. Michael Mugford officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in Gertie??s memory would be greatly appreciated.
