Mrs Garvey and family I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I first met Doc about 4 years ago, and while I was his patient he became a friend that I valued greatly, as a person and doctor he was straight to the point but one of the most compassionate people I know.

I offer my deepest condolences to the Garvey family. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Garvey at a very difficult time in my life when a family member needed psychiatric care. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Garvey for helping me out, and helping to get my beloved family member back on track. Although I only met him this one time, he played a crucial role in their path to wellness. His understanding, and support to me, at such a difficult time is something I have thought of often with the deepest of appreciation.

Dear Sue, I am sorry to learn that your husband Brian has died. I met him briefly a couple of times at Art Gallery functions and was struck by how pleasant and good-humoured he was -- with that special Irish twinkle. Only from reading his obituary did I realize just how accomplished and adventurous he was. It sounds as if he lived a full and happy life. I hope the memories will give comfort to you and your family. Best Regards, Linda

I knew Brian largely as a recipient of his professional knowledge and compassion. Also, I hope as a special acquaintance. I truly felt that Brian really liked me and I truly liked him. We had run into each other many times over the years (me-retired Banker)and it was always a treasured moment.(no transference here!) I respected him as a professional, creative and compassionate human being. He was like a favorite uncle or older brother. I just wanted you to know that his passing was a shock and I think the world has lost something special. I know he would want all of us to move forward, but not before we spend some time in remembrance of him and his special gifts. I don't drink, but please toast him for me. May the wind be at your backs Sincerely Connie C.

Dear family of ,Dr Brian Garvy... He was my longstanding doctor, friend.... He knew how to make you feel better and I Know he did this for alot of his patients and I am truly going to miss him, and his helpful ways of being a special mentor in my life. He Has been the Best Dr. To celebrate his life , i think of him in nature, sitting peacefully and reading poetry or learning new info about a topic that he was interested in...He was always a seeker of life and that is how he became to have his full life with everything he accomplished. Dr Garvey....you were one of kind. thanks for all the help you have given me over the years. To the family, he is never gone from our hearts Sincerely , Ruth Vaughan MacMaster
