White, Bertram ???Bert?? Finlay, 78 of Purcell??s Cove, Halifax County passed away on Sunday May 19, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS. He was the son of the late Leslie and Jean (Hawboldt) White. Bert received his education at Purcell??s Cove and the Queen Elizabeth High School in Halifax. He worked for the Halifax Herald for 18 years and sold real estate for 30 years. Bert owned and operated several businesses and was a superintendent for apartments for 14.5 years with his wife. Bert continued to buy and sell mini-homes until his death. He also created and developed White Acres Park in Aylesford, Nova Scotia with his business partner, Bill Scrymegour. Bert was predeceased by his parents, Nanny Rose Spinks, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Betty) White and nephew Bradley White. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy, Susan and Sandra along with brother Les White, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his loving wife of 15 months, Gail (Jones) White and her children, Harold (Sherri), John and Michael (Becky). In keeping with Bert??s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. No visitation by request. A Funeral service will take place at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home on Monday May 27, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Brenda Nesbitt officiating.
