Allen, Lily Geneva (Butler), 75 of West Hall??s Harbor, Kings Co. passed away suddenly with her family by her side on Monday, February 06, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wentworth, Ontario on Feb. 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Daniel & Geneva (Stewart) Butler. She was a member of the West Hall??s Harbour Baptist Church. Lily will be sadly missed by her children, Janet (Cor) Boersma; Marilyn (Bob Banks) Allen; Karen (Ron Dill) Allen; Tim (Angela Welton) Allen; Tom (Sheila) Allen; Danny (Darlene) Allen; Charlene (Chris) Coyle; Melanie (Brett) Chisholm; her grandchildren, Jamie, Jeff & Jennifer Boersma; Linda Gould; Mary Jane MacDonald; Randy Dill; Jason & Justin Allen; Vanessa & Jacob Allen; Brandon, Sarah & Bradley Naugler; Melissa, Devin & Darren Smith; her great grandchildren, William & Allyson Boersma; Emma & Tyler Gould; Samantha & Nicholas MacDonald; Audrey Dill. She will also be missed by her brothers, Gordon (Kathryn) Butler; Jack (Cathy) Butler; her sisters, May Kriak, Ivy (John) Saucier; Dorothy Butler; Debbie Butler & sisters-in-law, Millie & Jackie. She is survived by many in-laws, nieces, & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Chesley ; son, Joseph; brothers, Roy, Grant, Fred, Donald; sisters, Betty & Bonnie; grand daughter in-law, Megan Boersma. Special thanks to Dr. Todd, Dr. Merryweather & staff of ICU & Medical A for their support & kindness; also the staff of the VON home support. A special thanks to her supportive friends in Hall??s Harbor. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 from the Centreville Baptist Church, Centreville. Rev. Michael Shreve officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Habitant Cemetery, Habitant in the spring. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (Exit 14), Coldbrook. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Lily Allen may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
