Rogers, Kevin Robert, 52 of Kentville, Kings Co. passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Edward ???Dick?? Rogers, Canaan & the late Benita (Carey) Rogers. Kevin started his career as an ambulance attendant for H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home & Ambulance Service, & received his E.M.T. certificate from Humber College, Toronto. He then worked for some time with Cornwallis Supplies & also Corrections Canada. His last career move was as a realtor with McKay Real Estate Ltd. Wolfville. Kevin was a member of the Wolfville & later Kentville Volunteer Fire Departments. His passions were his family, motor biking, hiking, & his new found love of photography. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Davidson); daughters, Laura (Bobby) Coelho, Bermuda; Amy, Calgary; grandson, Logan; his father & his wife, Linda; brothers, Dickie (Nancy), North Carolina; Steve (Paula), London, Ont.; sisters, Denise (John) Ennis, Wolfville; Cheryl (Shawn) Corkum, Kentville; nieces & nephews, Silas, Sarah, Bethany, Chloe, Evan, Mark & Michael; mother & father in-law, Chet & Terry Davidson, Gaspereau. He was predeceased by his mother. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. At the request of the family there??ll be no visitation. The memorial service followed by a reception will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department Hall, Kentville. Rev. Gail Whalen-Dunn officiating, assisted by Father Craig Christenson. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ???Bikers Down?? Society, 86 Amaranth Crescent, Dartmouth, N.S. B2W 4B9 (902-462-7466) or to the Avonport United Baptist Church, Avonport.
