Peach, Joan of Kentville formerly of Kingsport. It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Norma Joan Peach on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, in her 70th year. Joan was the eldest child of Margaret (Parker) & the late Vernon Eye. Besides her mother, Joan is survived by her loving companion Bill Saulnier, Veteran??s Unit, Soldier??s Memorial Hospital, Middleton; her daughter: Heather (Jake) Lowe, Tatamagouche; grandson: Bradley Lowe (Melissa), Tatamagouche; brothers: David (Anne) Eye, Northville; John (Lynn), Canaan; sisters: Sandra (Wayne) Schofield, White Rock; Paulette Eye (Garth Hancock) Lumsden Pond; Elaine Eye (Andrea Lynn), Wolfville; many aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews. Joan was a long time resident of Kingsport. She will be remembered for her devotion to Bill, her love of family and friends & for being the ???big sister?? that she was. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the many individuals who helped care for Joan at the Valley Regional Hospital. There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. (Exit 14) Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Her ashes will be interred at a private family service at Jawbone Corner Cemetery, Canard, in the Parker plot. Family flowers only. The family invites donations to be contributed to the Valley Hospice Foundation or to the Veteran??s Unit, Soldier??s Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook.
