Reid, Robert Morrison, 82 of North Alton, Kings Co. passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New York, NY. he was a son of the late Quincey & Edith (Mahar) Reid. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 27 years & after retirement worked at IMP for a time. Robert then went to Acadia University to take Sociology & was an addiction counselor at Crosby House, Kentville. He was a cantor & a choir member of St. Joseph??s Roman Catholic Church. He loved to walk with his dog, Amos in the woods. Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret ???Peggy??; twins, Robert & Sharon , England; son, Stephen, England; stepdaughter, Debora, Halifax; stepson, Brian, B.C.; 10 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; brother, Jim, Halifax. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Frank & brother, Billy. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Pk. Dr., Coldbrook. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25th in St. Joseph??s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. Fr. Gerald Saulnier officiating. A reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Centreville. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in memory to a charity of one??s choice.
