Corkum, Lawrence Aubrey, 78 of New Minas, Kings Co. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Waterville, he was the son of the late Aubrey & Nettie (Rogers) Corkum. Lawrence drove a truck for Farmers Dairy Ltd. most of his working life. He is survived by companion, Kathleen Rand; daughter, Donna (Malcolm) Spencer, Waterville; sons, Larry (Jean) & Roger (Linda), all of Berwick; grandchildren, Stacey, Laurie, Cory, Stephen & Marissa Corkum; great granddaughter, Olivia & great grandson, Keegan; brother, Judson (June), Aylesford Lawrence was predeceased by sisters, Martha, Eveline, Edna, Elsie, Crystal, Eleanor, Marilyn & Thelma. Visitation will be held from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook (Exit 14). Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the Berwick Baptist Church, Berwick. Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating. Interment will take place in the Arlington Cemetery in the spring.In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Evergreen Home for Special Care or to a charity of choice.
