McNeil, Gail Theresa, 72 of Berwick, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, August 9, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Gordon & Anne (Parsons) Lonar. Gail was married to her husband, James for 38 great years and was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a driving force of love and life. She was a chef for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and working with a large variety of crafts. Gail is survived by her loving husband, James; daughter: Melinda (the late Kevin Almon), Port George, Anna. Co; sons, Mark (Nicole Foster), South Williamston, Anna. Co.; Gary (Victoria Kendrick) Bugeuad, Calgary, Alberta; Douglas (Michelle) Bugeaud Ottawa, Ont., Robert Bugeaud (Margaret-Ann), Alberta & Michael Bugeaud sister, Sheila Cornect, Coldbrook; brothers, Bill Lonar, Coldbrook and Terry Lonar, Langley, B.C. 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gail was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Lonar (C.P.O.) Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday from St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Berwick. Father Craig Cameron officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the church hall. Burial will take place at a later date in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville, Halifax Co. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grand View Manor especially Franey Unit for the love and care she was given. Also many thanks to the staff at the Medical B unit at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
