FOSTER, Percy Philip - 88, Aylesford, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday Nov. 01, 2013 at home. Born in Aylesford he was a son of the late Ingram and Bertha (Taylor) Foster. Percy worked as a labourer for Archie Smith and later worked at Annapolis Valley Peat Moss for 46+ years retiring at age 65 having worked hard all his life. He loved working and tinkering on old cars. He also enjoyed gardening. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Murphy; son, Philip, Berwick; daughters, Pauline (Kenneth) Ryerson, Auburn; Sharon Foster (Lewis Millett), Canning; Ida Ryerson, Kingston; Barbara (Harold) Williams, Greenwood; Brenda (John) Keddy, Waterville; Bertha Foster, Aylesford; Susan VanTassel (John Graves), Steam Mill; 27 grandchildren, 51 great - grandchildren and 3 great - great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two son - in laws, Ted Ryerson and Howard Keddy; grandson Eugene Keddy; brothers, Leslie, Howard, Hartley and twin brother Perley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Nov.05 from 7 - 9 p.m. and funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 06 in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel (192 Commercial St.,). Rev. Donald Rafuse officiating. Burial will take place in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the N.S. Lung Assoc.
