Obituary of Dorothy Hersey

Hersey, Dorothy Elizabeth, 85 passed away peacefully at Tideview Terrace, Digby, on September 28, 2013. Born in Weaver Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel (nee Bell) Hersey. She was predeceased by daughter Donna Amero; son Gary Amero; step-daughter Shirley (Harris) Mullen; brothers Percy (Diane) Hersey and Charles Hersey; sisters Marjorie (Joe)Melanson and Gail Mullen. She is survived by daughter Linda Amero, Edmonton AB; Thelma (John) Hendrickson, Calgary AB; Heather Muswagen, Ft MacMurray AB; Victoria (Larry) Gaudet, Ohio NS; sons Howard (Debbie) Amero, Cape Breton; Tyler (Lisa) Amero, Berwick; Thomas (Vanessa) Amero, Digby; Ernest (Linda) Amero, Weymouth; Richard Amero, Digby; Johnny (Carol) Amero, Grand Prairie, AB; step-sons Bernard (Violet) Amero; Keith (Rosaleta) Amero and Nevins (Gladys) Amero, all of Weaver Settlement; step son Weldon Francis; brothers Ernest (Elsie) Hersey Jr., Yarmouth; Walter (Judie) Hersey, Oshawa ON; sisters Ethel (David) Mullen, Weaver Settlement; Gladys (Nevins) Amero, Weaver Settlement; Evelyn (Richard) Mullen, North Range; sister in law Margaret Hersey and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Dorothy’s wished cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside celebration at the Southville Church of Christ Cemetery for family member on Sunday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm. A luncheon will be served at the Church after the burial and everyone is invited to join the family.
