Obituary of June Dorothy Blackburn

Blackburn, June Dorothy age 83 years of Berwick and formerly of Waterville, Kings Co. passed away peacefully on August 29, 2013 at the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Walpole, New Hampshire on July 29, 1930; she was the daughter of the late Maxwell Clayton and Elizabeth Mary (Hall) Best. June was a member of the Black Rock Baptist Church and attended the Sharon Club at the Waterville Baptist Church. She enjoyed 25 years of square dancing and also picked apples for 42 years. Left with fond and loving memories are her devoted husband of 63 years Raymond Blackburn of Berwick; son Eugene and his wife Wanda of Black Rock; daughter Jane Pearson and her husband Donald of Napanee, ON; brother Avery Best and his wife Shirley of Cambridge, ON; grandchildren Kelsey Pearson and Lynda Blackburn. Predeceased by her son Lewis; brother Richard and grandson Brian. In keeping with June's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Black Rock Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Gerry Zinc officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of June may be made to the Black Rock Baptist Church.
