Obituary of Joseph Frank Janes

Janes, Joseph "Joe" Frank - age 65 years of Windsor, passed away on August 11, 2013. Born in Windsor on September 13, 1947; he was the son of Olive (Porter) Armstrong and the late Cyril Janes. Joe loved music and spent many hours playing his guitar and playing in local bands. Joe had many good friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Left with fond and loving memories are his mother Olive and stepfather Bill Armstrong of Belmont; children Joey (Serena) and Janine (Ray) of Windsor; grandchildren Arianne, Mindy and Brittany; brother John (Marilyn) of Hantsport; cousin Moe Sanford of Halifax; sister in law Dale Janes of Hantsport and half brothers and sisters. In keeping with Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service for family will be held at the Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Joe, may be made to the Paraplegic Association (Halifax Shopping Centre - Suite 317A Tower One, 7001 Mumford Road, Halifax, NS B3L 4N9).
