Oscar Miledge Andrews - Age 93, of Roxville, Digby Co., passed away peacefully on July 11, 2013 in the Digby General Hospital, Digby. Born September 19, 1919, in Youngâs Cove, Anna Co., NS. He was the son of Oscar C. Andrews and Grace (Bent ) Andrews (step-father was Ernest A. Andrews). Oscar served in WWII in the Canadian Navy on the aircraft carrier M.H.S.Nabob. He will be remembered most by his friends as OM Andrews, wholesaler and retailer in the Digby area. Surviving him are his wife Marguerite (Forsythe) Andrews, sons Wayne (Sheila), Rossway, Digby Co., Webster of North Alton, daughter Cheryl Dorey, Roxville, Digby Co., step-sister Ellen (Bernard) Bell, Digby, niece and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Blaine. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral service and burial will take place at the Rossway Baptist Church, Tuesday July 16 at 11:00am, Rev. Lester Simpson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rossway Community Cemetery, care of Linda Robbins, RR 4, Digby, NS B0V 1A0.
