Croucher, Frances Mary (Keefe) - 89, formerly of Halifax; passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12th, 2012 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Halifax, on May 10th,1923, she was the oldest child of the late Carmen and Mary Keefe (Flynn). Frances was a loving, caring, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who came to know her. She loved to travel and had a special talent of crocheting and knitting; which she shared with her family. Frances is survived by her sons Frank (Gail), Greenwood, Gary (Anna-Lisa), McDonalds Corners, Ont., Stephen and Keith, both of Halifax; daughter Patricia, Halifax, whom she loved dearly. She was a loving grandmother to Darrell (Karen) Hiltz; Karen (Bob) Landry; Michael (Corrine); Kerri (Rob) Fowlow; Sarah Croucher; ten great grandchildren; and sisters Margaret Jeffries, and Marie Martin. Frances was predeceased by her husband Frank of 65 years; brothers Carmen, Edward, James, Dennis; sisters, Eileen Sweeney, Doris Martin and Jean Evans. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Frances?¢ wishes there will be no visitation. Interment will take place at the Last Post Memorial Columbarium at the Fairview Cemetery, Halifax on Friday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. Prayers for Frances will be offered at the 10:00 a.m. mass in the Saint Patrick?¢s Church, Halifax on Sunday, October 21st . Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Grand View Manor for their excellent care over the past two years; Frances always had a smile on her face when we went to visit. Donations may be made to St. Patrick?¢s Church or charity of your choice.
