Obituary of Erika Binder

Binder, Erika Elfriede (Schmitt) - Erika Binder died peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 18th, 2012. She was born in Bamberg, Germany to the late Karl and Annie (Seidenschwartz) Schmitt. Erika came to Canada in 1951, married Josef Binder and lived in Stanbridge East, Quebec, Goose Bay, Labrador, Tay Creek, NB, Wolfville, NS and Fredericton. Erika was predeceased by her husband, Joe and daughter, Dorothy Bassett (Greg). She will be fondly remembered by her daughter, Susi Derrah (Edward); grandchildren, Mark (Jessica) and Dana Derrah and Barbara Bassett and great-grandson, Josef Derrah. Visitation will be held at McAdam?¢s Funeral Home (458-9170), 160 York Street on Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 from 2 - 5 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 118 Main Street, Wolfville, NS on Friday, September 21st, 2012 at 11:00 am. Father Craig Cameron will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Erika?¢s name may be made to the Chalmers Foundation, P.O.
