Obituary of Larry Grant Peverill

Peverill, Larry Grant - Pev쳌 - 69, Scotch Village; passed away peacefully on August 17, 2012 at the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax with his beloved wife by his side. Born May 27, 1943 in Bedford Nova Scotia he was a son of the late Ralph and Marjorie(Worth) Peverill. Larry was a Chief Warrant Officer in the Dental Corp Regiment of the Canadian Armed Forces and served on peacekeeping tours in Cyprus and Egypt. In more recent years Larry was a Jack of all trades. He was the owner of a landscaping company in Ontario, a past owner of Falmouth Kwik Way, an attendant at the Ultramar in Ellershouse, and he also worked part time with his wife Linda at Lockland Equestrian Center. Larry leaves behind his devoted wife Linda (Reardon) Peverill, Scotch Village; son Mark (Lisa) Peverill, Shanty Bay, Ontario; granddaughter Jessica Peverill, Shanty Bay, Ontario; first wife Patricia McGowan; niece Penny; nephews George and Harley Jr; and best friends Owen and Richard. Besides his parents Larry is predeceased by brothers, Harley and Richard; nephew, Michael; niece, Carol Ann Thompson; and best friends Butch, Scamp, and Megan. Larry?¢s family would like to thank the health team at 5.2 unit at the QEII for the care and compassion shown during this sad time. Donations in Larry?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian cancer society. As per Larry?¢s request cremation has taken place and a service will be held in mid-September.
