PATTERSON, Floyd Frederick - 76, Halifax formerly of Wolfville passed away August 10, 2012 in the Northwood Manor, Halifax. Born on October 16, 1935 in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Doris (Pineo) Patterson. Floyd graduated from the Halifax School for the Deaf. He liked to cook, and had worked in food services both in Nova Scotia and British Columbia. Floyd enjoyed attending gatherings with friends at the Deaf-Mute Association. Floyd liked to crochet and knit. He really enjoyed watching hockey and his favorite team the Vancouver Canucks. Floyd is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, and sister in law Shirley Pineo. Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his wife Betty Dobson, brother Donald Pineo, and sister Rose Marie Francis. Visitation, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00, will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville with The Rev'd Dr. Bruce Matthews. officiating. Burial will be in the Willowbank Cemetery. A reception will be at Kathleen's home in Greenwich following the burial. In lieu of flowers donations in Floyd?¢s memory may be made to The Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
