Lantz, Dorothy Mae - 90, passed away August 8, 2012 in Blomidon Court Shannex, Greenwich. Born in Three Mile Plains, she was a daughter of the late Otis Aubrey and Edna Maude (Marr) Swinamer. Dorothy had worked for many years in the kitchen at the Payzant Memorial Hospital, Windsor. Later she was a representative for Avon for several years. She enjoyed quilting with the Windsor Baptist Church Auxiliary and was active within the Bethany Memorial Baptist Church women?¢s Auxiliary. Dorothy was also an active supporter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. She enjoyed playing cards, 45?¢s and cribbage. Dorothy was a great cook. She and her husband enjoyed their life at their cottage in Mount Uniacke where she entertained and enjoyed her friends and family visits. Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She took an active role with each of her families lives. She loved and would do anything for any of her family. She will be sadly missed by all. Dorothy is survived by her son Murray, Hantsport; daughter Karen (Rick) Cameron, Kentville; grandchildren Pamela Lyghtle, Thunder Bay, Melody (George) Swanton, Thunder Bay, Betty-Joe (Stephen) Eye, Canning; great grandchildren Bradley Swanton, Kailey (Phil) Sabean Ricky Manning (Becca) , Dylan Manning, Travis Eye, great great grandson Marshall Sabean; brother Freeman (Frances), Three Mile Plains; sisters Doreen Berggren, Belmont and Gail Berggren, Avondale. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Charles; brothers Clarence, Roy Albert, Herman, Douglas; sisters Evelyn Morash, Helen Bonang, Madeline Sanderson. Cremation has taken place. A funeral memorial service followed by a reception will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday August 13, 2012 in the Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Aldershot with Rev. Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor at a later date. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Bethany Memorial Baptist Church; Alzheimer?¢s Association; The Kidney Foundation or the charity of choice.
