MILLER, Edith Amy - 96, of Centreville, Kings Co., passed away peacefully July 12, 2012, in Valley Regional Hospital. Born on Church Street, Port Wilhams, on July 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Warne) Tanner (Wolfville formerly of England). Edith was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Edith was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Wolfville and associate member of Cambridge United Baptist Church. Before her retirement she was employed in Wolfville at Cleveland's Grocery, Palm's Restaurant, Porter's Dry Goods, and Sears order office. Lastly she spent several fulfilling years as a sales clerk at the Tartan Gift Shop in New Minas. Surviving are son, R. Ron Cook (Doreen), Centreville; grandson, Tanner (Tracy) Cook, Halifax; stepson, Ronald (Bertha) Miller; stepdaughter, Gayle (Taylor) Miller; niece, Leota Longly (Tanner) and two step grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, R. Budd Cook; second husband, Ronald C. Miller and brother, Gilbert Thnner. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsal Funeral Homes, 568 Main St., Wolville NS B4P lE7. Private interment will be at a later date.
