BIRD, Mary Olive (Dann) - 76, Wolfville Ridge, passed away surrounded by loved ones at home on June 27, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Kingston Peninsula, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Laura (Braman) Dann. Mary had worked for several years as a teacher in NB and worked in Toronto for Canada Life. In later years she worked at Acadia. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She worked very hard at home for her family. She will be missed by all. Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Norman; sons, David (Avril), Canaan; Steven, Mississauga, Ontario; Robert (Leanna McLellan), Hantsport; grandchildren, Keighan; Kate; Grace; Anita; brother Phillip (Kay), Kingston Peninsula, New Brunswick; sisters, Ida Neil, Norton, New Brunswick; Dorothy (Gerald) Frias, St. Andrews, New Brunswick; Alice Hanlon, Hampton, New Brunswick; sister in law, Nancy Dann, Kingston Peninsula, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brothers John and Henry. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, Friday June 29, 2012 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 30, 2012 in the St. John?¢s Anglican Church, Wolfville with The Rev?¢d Sandra Fyfe officiating. Interment will be in the St. John?¢s Anglican Church, Cemetery. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the St. John?¢s Anglican Church Memorial Garden or the charity of choice.
