Ogilvie, LaMert Arthur - 92, of Berwick, passed away in the Valley Regional Hospital on Wednesday June 13, 2012 to be reunited with his wife of 55 years, Madeline. Born and raised in Harbourville, he was a son of the late Arthur and Esther (Lee). LaMert was an excellent carpenter and could built anything. He was in WWII and served overseas. He was a past president and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch #69, Berwick. He had many hobbies but really enjoyed music, gardening, playing cards and darts. LaMert loved a good hockey game and his favorite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. He will be remembered and sadly missed by son Kevin (Darlene), Edson, AB; daughters Brenda (Richard) Schofield, Hampton; Karen (Doug) Buck, Cherry Brook, AB; brother Tim, Toronto, ON; sisters Alita (Eric) Bezanson, Aylesford; Beatrice Hindy, Nfld; Lillian Moore, ON; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. LaMert was predeceased by sons Arthur; James; an infant daughter; brother James; sisters Florence and Mildred. A legion service will take place on Tuesday June, 19th. at 2:00PM, at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick with Chaplain Ian Robb and Honorary Chaplain Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating; followed by a memorial service with Krista Anderson officiating. Interment will be held in the Burlington Cemetery. Donations in LaMert?¢s memory may be made to the VON.
