CALKIN, Esther Elizabeth - Betty쳌 (Forsyth) - 84, of Berwick, passed away on Wednesday June 13, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bridgetown, she was a daughter of the late Chesley and Mildred (MacNeill) Forsyth. Betty was a long time member of the Berwick United Church and Choir. She was a member of the Lionettes for over 50 years, as well as the Kings Chorale. Betty was a renowned cook, especially known for her apple pies. She loved to travel and spend summers at the cottage in Harbourville. Betty enjoyed playing cards, curling, and spending time with friends and family. She will be dearly missed by her husband Harold; sons Greg (Diane), Simsbury, CT; Dwight (Gloria), Calgary, AB; Allan (Laura), Calgary, AB; daughters Joy Dukeshire, Calgary, AB; Mary (Randy) Harrison, Truro; grandchildren Lisa, James, Andrea, Garth Dukeshire; Kyle, Robyn Harrison; Katie Beal; Jaclyn, Christofer, Stephanie, Sarah, Madison; 4 great grandchildren; brothers Eugene (Marge) Forsyth, Castle Rock, Colorado; Clair Forsyth, London, Ontario; and George (Carolyn), Lake Placid, Florida. Besides her parents, Betty is predeceased by her sisters Mildred - Moody쳌 Robinson and Helen Forsyth. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday June 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Berwick United Church with Krista Anderson and Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. Donations in Betty?¢s memory may be made to the Berwick United Church.
