Bennett, George - Jr쳌 - 56, of Berwick, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville; with his loving family by his side. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late George and May - Mabel쳌 (Simpson). Jr was very active in the 4 Wheel Drive Club and Snowmobile Club for many years. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his willingness to help anyone in need. Jr was a very hardworking man and loved his current job working as a groundskeeper at the Aylesford Public Beach; he loved doing anything that involved being outdoors. Jr enjoyed every minute he spent with his family and felt family was number one; he was a very loving father and appreciated all the time he spent with his grandchildren. Jr will be sadly missed by his wife and soul mate, Betty (Pipes) of 37 years who met him 40 years ago and has been with him right to the end. Surviving with heavy hearts are his son George (Kelly Whitman), Aylesford; daughter Dorothy (Ray Morse), Berwick; brother Doug - Myles쳌 (Elizabeth) Robishaw, Lawrencetown; sister Rose Ann (Bob) Sabean, Grafton; grandchildren Trinity Keddy; Zakery Bennett; Keagan Bennett; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Also left behind are J?¢s two special - four legged babies쳌 Meeki and Cinnamon. There will be a visitation on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick from where a Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Reverend Leon Langille officiating. Donations in Jr?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
