SMITH, Muriel Margaret (Moore) - 82, Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, formerly of Mt. Denson, passed away peacefully March 22, 2012, on a beautiful spring day, surrounded by loving family. Born in Windsor she was a daughter of the late John and Lavinia (Gillott) Moore. Muriel was the last surviving member of her family. She loved her home and her gardens. Muriel loved flowers and was well known for her many beautiful arrangements, some of which she won ribbons for at the Hants County Exhibition. She had worked for CKF Inc. and then several years at Avon Valley Greenhouses. Muriel is survived by her husband of 64 years, Percy, Dykeland Lodge; daughter Cindy (Howard) Simpson, Mt. Denson; son Jeff (Robin Rudderham), North Sydney; grandchildren Jennifer (Devin), Bishopville, Shawna (Edison), Mount Denson, Angela (Chris), Coldbrook, Ben, North Sydney; great grandsons Brayden and Louis. Besides her parents Muriel was predeceased by sisters Katherine Spencer, Elsie Benedict, Mary Tanner, Frances Murphy, Doris Moore; brothers Owen, Tim and Oliver. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by request. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Muriel may be made to The Alzheimer?¢s Society of Nova Scotia.
