Obituary of Deborah Tough
Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tough (Gray), Deborah Irene - 61, of Lake George, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Nora Gray. When Debbie was first diagnosed with cancer a year ago, she said she was going to go down - kickin?¢ and screamin?¢ì³; well that she did, right to the end. She is survived by her husband, Paul, daughter Melanie (Tim) McPhee; grandchildren Jessica, Kaylee, and Lucas; sisters Rita (Wayne) Clark, Sambro, Elaine (Harold) Mountain, Herring Cove; and brother Douglas Gray, Halifax. Family would like to take the opportunity to thank Dr. Julia Merryweather and her staff and the Oncology Department at the Valley Regional Hospital. Each and every one of them, in their own special way, can certainly take a grim situation and turn it into something more bearable; you are all second to none. Also a very sincere thank you to Dr. Lori Burgess and Staff, Dr. Ross, Dr. Todd, and the nurses in Medical A, Valley Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be held early this May in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in Deborah?¢s memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, Nova Scotia B0P 1E0. Donations and condolences may be sent to the above address or by visiting: www.serenitylindsayfuneralhome.ca
