HENSHAW, Winnifred Mae - Winnieì³ - 87, Lockhartville, Kings co. passed away Monday morning February 20, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 11, 1925 in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Frank Devoue and Evelyn Spencer. Winnie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Earl Henshaw; daughters Betty Myles, Wolfville, Gloria Sherman, Kathy Burton, Sandra (Kenneth) Parr, all of Lockhartville and Cheryl (Dale) Connors, Hantsport. She is also survived by her six precious grandchildren Kenneth Burton, Jennifer and Jason Parr, Shanna Bauchman, Sarah Carson and Anthony Connors. Winnie also cherished her great grandchildren Seth, Liam, Taylor, Ella, Tori, Marayah and Kaidince. Winnie was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by brothers Eldon and Frank; sisters Freda and Eleanor; grandson Brian at birth. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday February 26, 2012 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Winnie may be made to the VON Kings Branch, the Annapolis Valley Palliative Care or a charity of choice. Especially, all the staff of the Medical B unit at Valley Regional Hospital, Dr's Barry, Mulherin and Burch, and mom's favorite nurse, Michael. A special thanks also to all the VON and Pallitive Care workers who took care of mom, especially Dr. Burgess, Paulette Gash and Heather Scott."
