MARSH, (Mitton), Valerie Christine - 78, Poplar Grove Hants Co., passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday February 13, 2012, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Dorest, England, and emigrated to Canada with her husband and family in 1971. She first settled in Berwick and then moved to Polar Grove in 1979. Predeceased by her husband, Peter; brother, Eric and sister, Phyllis. She is survived by her children, Carol (Mervyn) Pueschner, Polar Grove; Sarah (Jason) Casey of Centreville, and her loving grandchildren, Christine (Chris), Philippe, George, Rebecca (Trevor), Tyler, Peter, Craig, Kayla, Bethany and Jack and great grandchildren, Hayden and Charlie. Valerie worked side by side on the family dairy farm with her husband for many years and later enjoyed traveling the globe. She enjoyed reading and participating in aquasize classes and was an avid movie goer with her two best friends, Veronica Legg, Coldbrook, and Hazel Brister, Dartmouth, who will miss her dearly. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home & Crematorium, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, NS, B4P 1E7. Donations or Cards in memory may be sent to this address or on-line at: www.serenityfuneralhome.ca. There will be a drop-in reception to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 18th in Old Orchard Inn, Greenwich, from 1-3 p.m. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in her memory to the QEII Health Centre Foundation or to Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of 5,2 ICU unit if QEII Health Sciences Centre for all that they did for our mum.
