Obituary of Rita Meister

Rita Meister has gone to join her beloved husband John, leaving behind their 3 sons and a large group of friends who remember a compassionate, empathetic person who was always helping those around her. Rita passed away December 4, 2011. Despite the physical limitations life had imposed on her, she managed to affect a great many people in a positive, life-affirming way. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched; leaving a space that will not easily be filled. She was a woman of strong opinions, which she was happy to share. The world will be a bit smaller for those of us who depended on Rita's advice and friendship. Her voyage through life has taken her from the Newfoundland outports to central Canada and finally, back to the East Coast to settle in Nova Scotia. She was the last of her sisters and brothers and heaven just got a little noisier as she joined them all there.쳌
