PARKER (Travis), Linda May - 61, Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co., formerly of Berwick, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2011, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth - Lizzieì³ (Richings) Travis. Linda was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch # 69, Berwick. She had worked in the kitchen for many years at C.F.B., Greenwood, and was well known for her baking. Linda loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a friend of Bill W. Surviving are her daughters, Trina (Jeff) Tooker, Granville Ferry; Doreen (John) Hasnip, Augusta, Maine; grandchildren, Alex, Ryan and Eden; father-in-law, Arthur (wife, Debra) Parker, New Minas; brothers, Glanville (Edith), Canning; George, Bridgetown; Eric, Greenwood; sister, Marilyn (Donald) Helpard, Waterville; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald F. Parker; son, Bruce in infancy; brother, Gary; sister, Phyllis (Alton) Haggerty. Visitation for Linda will take place from 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the Royal Canadian Legion and Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 29. Pastor Jeff George officiating, with burial in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Annapolis Community Health Centre Palliative Care.
