Benedict, Wilbert Lawrence - 72, of Newport Corner, passed away at home on November 2, 2011 with his loving wife by his side. Born in Riverside, he was a son of the late Preston Marsters and Myrtle (Sanford) Benedict. Wilbert was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosie (Greenslade); sons, Willie (Melissa), South Rawdon; Ryan, Newport Corner; brothers, Delbert (Shirley), Ontario; Ronald, Centre Burlington; Wayne, Windsor; sisters, Phyllis (Ron) Spencer, Summerville; Marguerite (Harold) Wile, Lower Vaughan; Juanita (Don) Grimes, Halifax; Doris (Graham) Lunn, Centre Burlington; grandchildren, Dylan and Haley; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Steven. There will be no visitation at Wilbert?¢s request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11 am in the Ardoise Hall; followed by reception. Donations in Wilbert?¢s memory may be made to the Ardoise Hall or to a charity of choice.
