To the family of Krystyna Rayski-Kietlicz:
I am saddened by the death of Krystyna, a lovely lady in every way. When she, her husband, and mother-in-law came to Wolfville, they lived in the Benjamin Apartments down the street, Linden Avenue, from where I lived with my mother, Peggy Connelly, my grandmother, Mary Forbes, and my brother, now Dr. A.B.F. Connelly. My mother and grandmother did what they could to help the newly-arrived Rayski-Kietlicz family. I still have some of the stitched handiwork of Madame Rayski-Kietlicz. Dr. Rayski-Kietlicz was my professor of French at Acadia University. It was always a pleasure to meet Krystyna. She taught me how to pronounce the name of Lech Walesa in Polish, as well as to say "Thank you," in her language.
